Elmer Masters and I spoke at EDUCAUSE today in a presentation titled "Podcasting the Classroom: Two Models".
Here is the Powerpoint deck from the talk. Elmer used a TiddlyWiki for his talk and I will post a link when I get it - EDUCAUSEPodcasting.ppt
Here is a link to the audio of the talk that I recorded. Click to listen or right-click to download the MP3 - Educause2006PodcastTwoModels.mp3
UPDATE: Here is a link to a screencast of the presentation that syncs the audio to the powerpoints.

Hello Matt,
I wasn't able to make it to your presentation at EDUCAUSE however, I'm very interested to learn more about your approach. Will there be a paper on this or do you have notes other than the ppt?
Thanks, Astrid

Matt,
The method I use to link Asterisk to the Lifetype blogging software is XMLRPC. It would work with Drupal also. Indeed I considered using Drupal, but I didn't want all of the features it brings to the table for this project.
I took a look at the presentation mentioned in the Drupal post and the process being used is identical to what I've been doing for a year and half. There are certainly collaboration opportunities here.
Thanks for the comment.

I heard a number of people talk about the presentation. I hope to listen to it later.
It sounds similar to this ...

Perhaps an opportunity for collaboration?
In any event, it sounds very interesting and I hope to learn more myself.
Cheers,
Matt

Great job on the presentation today! Very interesting usage of Asterisk for a recording mechanism for podcasting. This takes convergence to a new level I had not thought of.
Thanks for getting me thinking outside of the box again!
